The Camp Director for this growing 10-acre outdoor adventure, on Perdido Bay in Southern Alabama, oversees the entire ministry, organization and facilities; provides a vision for the ministry and a plan for the necessary resources (financial, program, personnel, facilities, etc.) required to meet the mission.
As a small LCMS camp in the Southern District, the leader of Camp Dixie will provide a unique opportunity for congregations (and others) across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and northwest Florida as well as mission and servant event groups from the midwest USA.
Ready for sunny hot summers along the water and mildly perfect winter weather? Originally owned by 5 local congregations planted by old German Lutheran settlements in the south, Camp Dixie is ideally located. The Director’s compensation includes use of a beautiful 3 bedroom ranch-style house with carport. Overall, this is an opportunity for a motivated leader who desires to grow an outdoors ministry site to its full potential.
