NLOMA Board Members

Signe White (Camp Perkins, ID) – President

  • Provide a business agenda for the annual NLOMA conference.
  • Conduct the business meetings of NLOMA.
  • Be responsible for representation of NLOMA in meetings with Synod and/or other organizations.
  • Be responsible for preparation of an annual budget to be presented to the annual NLOMA conference for adoption.
  • Be responsible for the administration of the NLOMA budget.
  • Be responsible for the recruitment of new members, NLOMA public relations, and all NLOMA publications.
  • Appoint the annual committees for Nominations, Resolutions, Audit, and/or any other necessary appointments.
  • Have the power to sign official documents on behalf of the association or empower a designate to sign on his behalf.

Gary "Woody" Vought (Camp Luther, WI) – Vice President

  • In the event of the vacancy of the President, assume the duties and responsibilities of the office of the President.
  • Assume appropriate duties/responsibilities when the president is absent.
  • Be responsible for an annual audit of the NLOMA financial accounts if the NLOMA financial books are being kept by the NLOMA treasurer.

Bob LaCroix (Camp Omega, MN) – Treasurer

  • Be responsible for the collection of all fees, dues, and accounts receivable.
  • Be responsible for paying all debts and accounts payable when due.
  • Be responsible for establishing and maintaining a checking account in the name of NLOMA for the purpose of carrying out the above.
  • Be responsible for maintaining a set of “books” containing an accurate and factual financial record of NLOMA’s fiscal affairs.
  • Provide a financial report to the annual NLOMA conference including a balance sheet showing all assets and liabilities of NLOMA.
  • Provide such financial reports and information as called for by the president.
  • Be responsible for circulating, to members, dues notices no less than 60 days prior to their expiration.
  • Be responsible for any Internal Revenue Service or other necessary fiscal reports.
  • Be responsible for an annual audit of the NLOMA accounts when an outside individual or firm is contracted by the Board of Directors to provide financial service for NLOMA

Lori Gamble (Camp Okoboji, IA) – Secretary

  • Be responsible for all records and reports of the association.
  • Be responsible for recording the minutes of all meetings of NLOMA.
  • Be responsible for the recording of the minutes of the Board of Directors meetings.
  • Present copies of the minute of previous meeting(s) of NLOMA to the immediately subsequent meeting for approval.
  • Present copies of the minutes of the previous meeting(s) of the Board of Directors to the immediately subsequent meeting of the Board of Directors for approval.
  • Be responsible for all legal documents and/or other papers and transactions of the corporation

Daniel Sanchez (Camp IoDisECa, IA) – Joint Recruitment Chairperson

  • The Joint Recruitment Chairperson shall:
    • Conduct NLOMA’s annual Joint Recruitment (JR) program.
    • Provide to the Board of Directors for approval: forms, processes, guidelines, budget and other necessary items for the implementation of the NLOMA JR program.
    • Work closely with the Board of Directors and the Administrative Officer to make sure members and staff applicants have the information they need to engage the JR process.
    • Administrate and authorize all expenses for the JR program that have been approved in the NLOMA budget

Craig Oldenburg (Camp Concordia, MI) – Member-At-Large

  • The term of office for the Member at Large shall be two (2) years.
  • The Member at Large shall be elected in even numbered years.
  • The Member at Large is a voting member of the NLOMA Board of Director

Chip May (Camp Arcadia, MI) – Conference Chair

  • The term of office for the Conference Chairperson begins at the conclusion of the previous conference and end at the conclusion of the conference they were elected to lead.
  • The Conference Chairperson shall
    • Lead the planning, organization, and implementation of the annual NLOMA conference.
    • Follow the NLOMA Conference Guidelines.
    • Utilize their conference committee to assist with the planning, organization, and implementation of the annual NLOMA conference

Bruce Wall (Camp Luther, NE) – Conference Chair Elect (Non-Voting board position)

  • Select a conference committee to assist with the planning, organization, and implementation of the annual NLOMA conference. The conference committee should represent geographical (Midwest, West, etc.) and positional diversity (Directors, Program Directors, etc.) within NLOMA.
    • Follow the NLOMA Conference Guidelines.
    • At least one and a half years prior to the conference they are elected to lead they must provide to the Board of Directors for approval: the conference budget, site, and program.
    • At the conference prior to their conference the conference chairperson must present to the members the location, price and program. This is not a vote, but rather a time for feedback.
    • Assume the role of the Conference Chairman at the conclusion of the annual NLOMA conference at which a new Conference Chairman Elect is elected
